In Spring 2005 Cindy Pavlinac visited Turkey for the first time. Long fascinated with Greek ruins and ancient civilizations, she flew to Istanbul to photograph Bazaars, archeology museums, mosques, Aya Sofya, the Hippodrome. After a week of drinking tea and avoiding carpet salesmen, she joined a small but intrepid group from the Marin (California) Photo Club. Expertly hosted by MeliTour, they explored Eyup, Chora, Ortakoy, Beysehir Lake, Canyon Pilgrimage in Anatolia, Goreme Monastery in Cappadocia, Zelve underground cities, Guzelyurt, Konya, the Meander Valley, Pamukkale, Meryemana, Ephesus, Aphrodisias. Here's a few of Cindy's 9,000 photos.
