Labyrinths in France

There are only a handful of Medieval Labyrinths remaining in place. Located on the old pilgrimage roads (look for St. James of Compostella shell signs), each site is home to at least one Black Madonna, and all are dedicated to Mary, except the modern replica in Orléans. The great cathedral labyrinths now seem to be considered quaint designs, and are often covered with chairs.

Here's the labyrinths around Paris:

Amiens, Somme
Nave, Notre-Dame Cathedral

Bayeux, Normandy
Chapter House, Notre-Dame Cathedral

Chartres, Eure-et-Loir
Nave, Notre-Dame Cathedral

Guingamp, Côtes-du-Nord
North Porch, Basilica de Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours

Saint-Quentin, Aisne-Picardy
Nave, Basilica of Saint-Quentin

Orléans miniature, Loiret
Outside, Cathédrale Sainte-Croix
