Travels in France
In September 2006 Cindy Pavlinac returned to France, spending a week in Paris, including a full day in the Musée du Louvre, two weeks in Chartres with the Veriditas pilgrimage from Grace Cathedral in San Francisco walking the labyrinth and creating a secret garden medieval style labyrinth for the School of the Sacred Feminine, and a week driving through the Loire Valley visiting Châteaux: Chinon, Langeais, Ussé, Azay-le-Rideau, Cheverny, Troussay, Beaugency, Angers, Saumur, and of course, Chenonceau, with its hedge maze, and Chambord, pictured above. A brief drip through Brittany and Normandy included a few days at Mont Saint-Michel. An amazing discovery was Abbaye de Fontevraud, my new favorite sacred site. And I could retire in Leonardo DeVinci's house in Amboise, Clos-Lucé. Here's a few of the 12,000 photos.
Another Veriditas pilgrimage to Chartres with Jungian Marion Woodman in May 2007 was followed by solo exploration of Burgundy: Arcy-sur-Cure prehistoric cave paintings, Alésia Gallo-Roman Site at Alise-Ste-Reine where Caesar finally defeated the Celts, Mary Madeleine's Basilique in Vézelay, the Guédelon Chantier Médiéval 13th century living history 30 year castle building project near Saint-Fargeau, medieval river villages likes Noyers, and Abbaye de Fontenay.
Currently on exhibit at Chez Pierre, Novato, CA.
